High-throughput proteomics for biomarker discovery and population studies

As an Olink partner, we provide high-throughput proteomic profiling with Olink Explore HT. The panel measures around 5,400 proteins from serum or plasma in a single assay.

That makes it a strong fit for large-scale biomarker discovery, epidemiological studies and pharmaceutical development. Olink is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

How the technology works

Olink Explore HT is based on Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) technology. Two antibodies, each linked to a DNA oligo, bind the same target protein. Only when both bind does a DNA barcode form, which is then read out by next-generation sequencing.

This dual recognition gives highly specific, multiplexed protein measurement, with thousands of proteins quantified per sample in a single run.

Olink Explore HT covers around 5,400 protein targets in one assay. We support studies from small discovery projects to large population-scale screening, with standardised laboratory workflows and dedicated project management.

Sample types and requirements

We accept serum and plasma samples.

Data delivery

Results are delivered as Normalized Protein Expression (NPX) data via secure FTP. NPX data integrates directly with statistical, bioinformatic and multi-omics analysis pipelines.
